Upper East Restaurant in Makati..

Have you heard the recent buzz about the Upper East Restaurant in Makati wherein they are trying to be elite? After I read about their marketing campaign on their website I just cant help but to shake my head off. I just thought that maybe this is just their marketing srategy so that people would be curious and head their way to this fancy restaurant. Let's just see and wait how people would react on this one. Here is an excerpt from their website : "A word to the wise: UPPER EAST is not for those sans chutzpah and those unwilling to pay for the price for a taste of New York Style." I love Taho! (Soya Cultured milk)

I can still clearly remember my childhood days wherein we would always wait for our beloved Taho vendor to show up in front of our gate shouting on his monotone speech "Tahoooo! Tahoooo! Bili na kayo ng Tahoooo... Every morning, me, my sister and my two brothers would patiently wait for him with our big pitcher (mind you, not your ordinary drinking glass) in tow. I would always request him to add brown sugar syrup on our taho which manong would gladly give in. My perfect taho would only include the brown sugar syruy and the soya. I would always tell manong to never put some sago on my taho.. Until now, I still enjoyed Taho especially those being sold in the streets. It's not easy to sell taho in the streets. I would often pity those taho vendors wherein they would carry the two big canister in their backs using a pole tied at the end of it.
