Diving and Snorkeling at Coron Palawan

It's my first time to be in Coron, Palawan and I can say that it was a very rewarding experience. The place is very relaxing and it's like you are in a paradise. The planning, research, discussion and all the drama that comes with the planning really paid off. It took us more or less than four (4) months before we embark on this journey (hmmm..a lot of time spent on planning..). Some backed out, some just came with us as a surprise (1 day before our scheduled trip). But no matter who we're with we just enjoyed the moment that we are in Coron, Palawan..So if you are planning your trip to Coron Palawan, read on and the details here may help you plan ahead of time..
In order to get to Coron Palawan we took the Cebu Pacific airlines via Busuanga Airport. You may click here for your preferred scheduled flights http://www.cebupacificair.com/. Most of the time, Cebu Pacific is much cheaper than Philippine Airlines (PAL) so if you have a tight budget then this is definitely for you..
From Busuanga Airport the only transportation that would take you to the hotel is the van. There are vans waiting just outside the Busuanga airport. They would charge you for only P150.00 per head or if you are traveling with a group, One (1) van would charge P1500.00 (with a maximum of 10 person). You may call Ruben Gamalo at his cellphone number +639196840388 to wait for you to arrive at Busuanga Airport. He drove us from Busuanga Airport up to our destination Kokosnuss Resort in Coron Palawan.
Kuya Ruben dropped us to Kokosnuss Resort (http://www.kokosnuss.info/). We stayed at one of those non-aircon rooms which cost us only around P1,500 (max of 3 person). At first, we thought we would be needing an aircon since it's too hot during the day. Oh boy, it's cold during the night and I needed an extra blanket. If you are interested call Liza at this number 639194487879 for your reservations.
You may also want to check this hotel sites in Coron Palawan: (They are cheap but comfortable)
1.) Mount Tapyas hotel: http://www.corontrips.com/mt_tapyas_hotel.htm. I am eyeing this hotel when we were still on the planning stage of our trip. We forgot to make a reservation because of our busy scheds that's why when we inquired about it, the Mt. Tapyas was already fully booked. You may call this number for your reservation +63917505566.

2.) Coron Village Lodge: http://www.coronvillagelodge.com/ If you are planning your Coron Palawan trip, just make sure you have your reservations as early as possible. There are only a few hotels in this place. You may call this number for your reservation +63989201517
On our first day there, we went to Mt. Tapyas.
ISLAND HOPPING
We came across with Kuya Ding, the captain of our boat. They charge us only P6,500 all in all for our Island hopping (by the way our group compose of 16 people) and an additional P1,500 for our packed lunch (that is good for 16 people! now that's cheapp!). We have rice, chopseuy, adobo and swordfish?? ( I dunno what it is called.it looks to me like a swordfish).
We went to Sangat Island (this is where you will find the shipwreck). Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon (this was where I saw the small Octopus!) and a lot more islands.
By the way, I have to warn you though.. Please bring your snorkeling gears so that you could have your own. You could also rent snorkeling gears there, but just to be safe because it was already used by a lot of people. I think it would only cost you P800 if you bring your own.
WILD SAFARI
We also went to Kalawit the following day. Their main attraction are the zebras and girraffes. We paid around P9,000 for the boat (3 hour travel) then we rented out a 6x6 truck to get us through the jungle (around P1,000) and paid P200 each for the entrance fee.
